Tagline:Cyber Intelligence Researcher

About Me

I am Dr. Sreenivas Tirumala, a dedicated academic and cybersecurity expert with a Postgraduate degree and PhD from New Zealand. My teaching portfolio spans postgraduate and undergraduate courses in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and programming, where I bring practical insights to inspire the next generation of technologists.

My research has been supported by internal and external grants, as well as conference funding, enabling me to contribute to the global academic community. I have published extensively in international journals and conferences, with my work recognized as best papers in 2022 and 2023. Over the past five years, I have authored articles in three Q1 and two Q2 journals, reflecting my commitment to advancing knowledge in my field.

As a ‘white hat’ hacker, I actively investigate vulnerabilities across diverse domains and products, helping small and medium-scale industries develop robust cybersecurity strategies. One of my funded projects focuses on assessing the security of school submission portals, websites, and Wi-Fi networks to safeguard sensitive information such as assessments, photos, and documents. Currently, I am exploring the health and ethical implications of privacy in virtual reality environments, such as the metaverse, to promote safer digital spaces.

Beyond my professional pursuits, I am fascinated by ancient technologies and the possibilities of future intelligence. As a self-professed ‘Apple lite,’ I embrace the Apple ecosystem in my daily life. I am deeply committed to social good, working to educate individuals and communities about data privacy and cybersecurity awareness to foster a safer digital world.

    Date: Mar 2025

Event name: Panel Discussion .Location: RMIT University Vietnam .

    Description:

Panel Discussion : Torganized at RMIT, Hanoi
It is important to think about Post-quantum cryptography (PQC) to make sure the new encryptions are quantum-safe. Take some questions from RMIT cyber security students around this topic. It is interesting to see the prospects of companies who develop cyber security products. Thanks Annie Quynh Anh (Tech Lady) from VinCSS and Mr. Luat Nguyen from CyberJutsu
